Jam of the Day: Porches - "Underwater"

Porches' album Pool is one of those records that I can't seem to stop playing. Each listen brings up something new. Lead track "Underwater" is supremely gorgeous.

Jam of the Day: Jeremih - "Stockholm"

What I love about this minimalist track from Jeremih is that so much is said without saying anything. It's all about space and silence.

Jam of the Day: Banks & Steelz - "Can't Hardly Feel"

On paper this collaboration between Paul Banks of Interpol and RZA of Wu-Tang Clan shouldn't work, but somehow it seems to gel well. I really can't stop playing this brooding and somber track.

Jam of the Day: Totemo - "Prime"

Stunning track from Totemo's new EP Desire Path. She does minimal electronic pop so effortlessly.

Jam of the Day: Frank Ocean - "Nights"

While I guess I am the only person on the planet who is not completely blown away by Frank Ocean's new record Blonde (I think it is a decent record but feels more like a set of sketches to me than a fully realized work), I will say that "Nights" is a pretty spectacular track. It starts off comfortably as pop track but morphs into something gloriously odd and experimental but always maintaining an emotional core.

Jam of the Day: Crystal Castles - "Fleece"

So far I have liked all of the tracks I have heard from the upcoming Crystal Castles record; the first one without Alice Glass. This song is dark and subversive.
